Inside the Sith ship headed for Coruscant Gauroth the dragon manifested in a swirl of fire. Only his massive head could be seen, floating over the holoprojector. Patience showed in his eyes, along with malevolence. He looked about for the nearest life-form, knowing not exactly where his Fire magic has placed his avatar, but that it is a place of great importance to the Timelines, and probably a place of lifeforms not unlike himself in purpose.

Cae had been half asleep, almost bored to death from the complete lack of... anything at all. Nothing had happened for a long time, no one had spoken a word and he was even beginning to get tired from hearing his own thoughts. Horribly boring. Then all the sudden there was light, a fire even.
Going from half asleep to fully awake in an instant he half rose from the chair ready to put out the flames and wondering why he hadn't sensed the fire coming. It took him but a moment to realize the fire was, in fact, an illusion of some sort and as such most likely wasn't going to do any serious damage to the ship. That was... weird. Why? Since Shadow was the only other person on the ship she was the only one who could have done it but he hadn't sensed anything at all from her. It disturbed him immensely to think she could play around with his senses like that. Then he saw the dragon and knew instinctively that Shadow was innocent, this time at least.
It looked like a strange, primitive creature of some sort but... No, he could tell it was intelligent. The look in it's eyes gave it away. What the? How? Does it speak basic...? His thoughts didn't really make much sense as he was duly surprised. It was as good a cure for his boredom as any though, so a second or two later Cae's curiosity got the upper hand.
"Hmm, what are you, how did you do that and what do you want?" And what makes you thing you'll get away with this? As usual, being polite wasn't on the Sith's to-do-list.

Gauroth ignored the first question. That would be showing the coin hidden in his hand. He looked around the room. Pointed flecks of light streamed past. A portal in itself? That could be complicated. The architecture was unbeautiful, rough and of one matte color. He coughed up fire.
"I feel your power--" He made his image flicker like firelight and snapped his jaws. "Purpose. Not enough..." He laughed.

ooc: not to be anal, but how did a dragon learn to speak galactic basic when you really should just speak westron (LotR common), elvish (quenya, sindarian...), dwarvish, orcish.
ic: She stirs back til she is awake, the dragon greeting her. An illusion, sith mastery says; but not one made by the force. Be as it is, Cae has never struck her as a master of illusions, and she senses nothing from him but the frustrated curiosity of anothers interferance.
An illusion, because the flames caused no harm to her ship, when it should have lit other consumables.
"We have power," she notes from her approach. Its laughter irritates her. She keeps it in check. "Illusion." She taps the keyboard on the navicomp, searching for a sending. [It's not a hologram. No path.] "You draw yours from another source. Why come here?"

(I always assumed that Westron/Common was English--Tolkein's 'common' language' --as is Basic.)
He did not recognize so much. Their shining trappings...little could be assumed about this world. Later he would find a way to learn more. Now, though, keeping them confused mattered. Their flinty glares, a staple expression toward eachother also, proved them more orclike than elf-like...but they seemed clever. In a flare of false fire Gauroth's image disappeared.
His presense, though, remained, watching for the time he had left.

((Westron and Common ARE different languages, but for RP's sake, all Common tongues of all worlds can all be English, since we all speak English. If you wanna be an anal RPer, use the Force or magic to translate.  ))

"Hmm, that was... interesting." Cae finally said after the long period of silence that followed the dragon's departure. He had no idea what that had been but was sure that some day he would find out. That thing had seemed sneaky enough to make sure of that, and it was general feeling he had anyway.
He checked the ship'd cronometer and was happy to see that they were just about to arrive in the Coruscant system. "Looks like it's time to get serious now, heh. Ready?"
