STORYLINE (to be edited?):
500 years before TPM, some Jedi and Sith, in the midst of a heated battle, accidently broke through the barrier between worlds. The Force, outside of time, seemed capable of dimensional travel. Their battle forgotten, they joined forces to become the Timekeepers, Force-sensitives in a very hidden faction to find out how to break through the barriers. Gradually, as time crept by, them and their desendents began to destroy the borders. After 400 years had passed, they had mastered the art, learning how to chain a Force-user down and suck their life's energy away to feed their dimensional beast...
50 more years passed, and they had managed to capture and drain enough once-Force users to make complete cross-world contact, to be even to send things back and forth. On the other sides, people began to join the Timekeeper's cause... magic users and superheroes falling prey to fuel this monster.
A few escaped, and these became the Others, people who knew what the true power behind dimensional travel was. People who hovered in insanity, trying to find a way to stop it, and unable to reach the point the Timekeepers had--a point that was neither held hostage by time or permitted to flow. The Timekeepers were essentially safe from the Others...
Now, dimensional travel is something that is just about to be unveiled. But something went wrong a few months before, a strand reaching out to pluck people from various parts of the universe... mixing things up. A probabilty storm.
Still, the Timekeepers carried on with their intent to unveil dimensional travel. And now, it has been revealed to the world. All universes are open to the hands of those in this time. But at what cost...
