I am wondering how many hours do you work a week, I just looked at my time card and for one week of non stop work I did a total of 63.75 hours that is 23.75 over time hours I just wish I made more Rolling Eyes I work in a restaurant doing all sorts of things including bussing tables prepping and cleaning the salad bar and vacuuming, and! I am the only cashier!! Just about every day people come in and remark on how easy my job must be to just sit and take peoples money, I smile and say oh yea its the best Rolling Eyes! OK I am done ranting, all in all its not so bad I am working unto the lord and that is what counts. So how many hours do you work?

Got to go to bed I got another long day, I have to be at work at 6am

Well, since I'm a student I don't work as such, but my japanese classes have about 10h of scheduled time each week. Then there's all the homework and studying for exams and such... but since I'm lazy I doubt I ever put down more than 20h/week including classes ^^

The year is winding up, and therefore it isn't exactly fair to comment on the current insanity, but it's quite typical of me to regularly spend 10-hour days at school throughout the year, and 14-hour days during crunch time like this. The projects really pile up; for example, one week ago today I had a paper to write on a 20th century painting, four watercolours to plan, ink, and paint, a tourism poster to arrange and put together, a visual source book to compile (which entailed getting roughly 75 pieces of printed material that can serve as inspiration/reference pasted into a book), a 15-minute group presentation to write on a local design firm, a Hyundai advertisement to vector, three over-the-shoulder TV news graphics to plan and put together, one newspaper ad for a bookstore event to vector, and an invitation to a party sponsored by a wine company to compile. Everything except for the group presentation and the wine company invitation was due today, and though most of these projects were introduced earlier, the previous projects I'd been working on pushed most of these to be worked on this week and last weekend. Sorry for the long list, but it sure felt good to vent a little. (dies)

O_O

I think I like high school.

*nods*

This summer I worked eight hour days five days a week... and didn't get payed very well... that didn't really count driving time, either, and that'd be fourty-five minutes both ways. Bleh.

I don't have time to work, right now. I live too far away from school... so if I worked in town, I'd never get home, and if I worked near home, I'd only get a few hours a week. And, with all of the homework, it's definitely not worth it.

I work 13 hours a week over three days, at the library. It's fun.

I do feel overwhelmed with school work, although I don't have near as much as all that, Jandalf. Some of that does sound fun though. I do have calculus homework, which takes an hour or two each day if only because I'm bad at it.

Don't worry about it too much... the course I'm taking is a two-year stint, and deals with as much material as some four-year university design courses do. So naturally it's quite insane, but yes, some of it is fun.

I was pulling 30 hours a week when I was in middle school (My grades suffered a little but I managed.)
I remember during the summer when all the camps would come my church would get crowded and I would spend unending hours at the cafeteria working with my family I didn't get paid for any work past the time allowed by law but I could volunteer all I wanted *whether or not I wanted to or not* One night in particular was real harsh and we didn't get out until the morning chef arrived at 5:30 in the morning, I love going to camps but I feal sorry for those who have to work for camps Confused it is just not fun.

I am so glad to be out of school I have a little more freedom to work until I drop Rolling Eyes
Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I, uhhh, yeah.

I do most of the housework because I have lazy siblings and cook because I enjoy cooking and mom doesn't, therefore I'm sort of possessive of the kitchen and get all annoyed when people mess it up. I'm not working YET, but I'm homeschooled so I can do my stuff pretty fast. I hate to think when I start working how stressed I'll be if I keep being mini-mom, though. I guess playing the responsible sibling role is normal for older siblings when you have a big family, though... oh well.

Heh. It isn't too bad... depending on the job, I guess. Kitchen duty isn't awful fun, unless the right people are there. But counseling is a blast. That is a job with long hours... five thirty to shower until about two o'clock in the morning, give or take. Out of a week, I'd say you get.... about eight hours of sleep. But it's still fun. I'll be bummed when I don't get to counsel during the summer...

My brother and I were supposed to go to a job fair tonight. I'm a bum, and I skipped. O' course, so did my brother, but at least he has the excuse of being sick. So I have to go job hunting after I graduate... yayz.

Just in case you needed to know, I started working in July or August full time. More than full time. Nine hours a day on my full days. As a nanny. Nanny Tiana. ^^

And I've done that from then til now, and now I'm off til Jan. I don't mind the length of the work so much as the severely underpaidness of it all, though.

Dûn works in a library. ^^ She gets to be geeky, and be payed to do it. And uh, she doesn't really have to work all that much. She mostly sits at the front desk and works on her homework. Or sketches. Or just doesn't do anything at all.

And, on rare occasions, kicks the faculty copier because it hates her and the rest of humanity.

And, one night a week, she sits out in the lobby of her dorm until four in the morning and makes sure no boys sneak in. And kicks out the drunk people. But she gets payed, and she wouldn't be sleeping anyway, so it's pretty nifty.

Well, Tiana gets to draw and read and write when her kid's napping. But I'm quitting after January... I'm going after a job at the newspaper and then I will be overworked. But at least I should get minimum wage for that... -_-''
